Going two years without any medical answers, feeling achy and in pain, Georgia was the light at the end of my tunnel. She helped me navigate my symptoms and feel pain-free again. I began seeing Georgia Austin in December of 2015 with complaints of a lifetime of serious chronic health issues ranging from Asthma, Allergies (environmental & food related), IBD-C, and autoimmune-related arthritis (ankylosing spondylitis). Other serious illnesses were a case of croup that resulted in hospitalization, a bad case of mumps, surgeries related to a life-threatening case of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, as well as several procedures for hemorrhoids.

I had belief, after some self-study, that many of my ailments were being aggravated by my diet. Georgia’s treatment from the beginning was total abstention from all gluten, dairy, and sugar products, as well as reintroduction of food enzymes and vitamin supplements to replenish my digestive system.

We completed a 10-day cleanse approximately 4 months into my treatment with great results. I am eating foods (healthy foods) that I thought I would no longer be able to consume with no bad side effects. I am continuing with a no gluten/no dairy diet and a maintenance program proscribed by Georgia. I feel better than I’ve felt in many years – I’m sleeping better / have more energy and have lost some weight. I’ve begun to experience relief from some of my symptoms – some of which have been debilitating at times for over 20 years.

For two years I was very ill. Nauseous, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation. I had pain shooting up my neck and down my arms and sever headache and lightheartedness. I lost 70 pounds, and could not walk without shaking. I had been to several doctors and nutritionists and no one knew what was wrong. The doctors took out my gallbladder, but it did not help.

Finally, a friend told me about Georgia Austin. I was very reluctant to go because I had already spend thousands of dollars on doctors who could not help me. Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at age 23, I have been on and off prednisone, nightly mesalamine enemas, tried and failed multiple high profile medications and later hospitalized in 2013. At that point I tried and failed Remicade infusions, then tried Humira which my body rejected and lead to a second near hospitalization only a year later. After stabilized on yet another Biologic injection with only an experimental injection and surgery as back-up options, I decided to finally take charge of my own body! I spoke with my GI and asked about some information I had found while researching alternative solutions including gluten, dairy, and sugar. The answer I received was a matter of fact “This is your disease and NOTHING you are eating has any effect on it.” I was heartbroken, embarrassed and felt hopeless, but deep down I didn’t believe him. I confided in a co-worker friend who is a NP and she handed me Georgia’s card and I made the call.
